  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) September 10, 2014 - Recording artist and philanthropist Ne-Yo and The Compound Foundation today announced that the 3rd Annual Fostering a Legacy will honor Divisional Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of Walgreens, Steve Pemberton; Executive Director of GRAMMY U ®, Jodie Blum and this year's corporate honoree is Porsche Cars North America, on September 12, 2014 at Gotham Hall. Pemberton, Blum and Porsche Cars are fervent foster care advocates and Blum a beloved Adoptive Parent. This honor is presented to an organization or individual that has demonstrated significant impact in the lives of youth, families and communities and inspired the activity of countless others to engage in service and leadership.

    The Fostering a Legacy Benefit is the foundation's signature annual fundraiser, honoring both individuals with a personal connection to foster care and adoption, and corporate community leaders who improve the lives of youth in foster care and group homes. The event Chairman is Mark Leder, Co-CEO of Sun Capital of Sun Capital Partners and lead investor of fashion brands Scotch & Soda, Rebecca Taylor and Vince. The Benefit event will include an awards presentation hosted by Grammy Award-winning recording artist, Ne-Yo and NBC's Saturday Night Live comedian, Jay Pharoah. The night's entertainment, in the form of live performances, by R&B Superstars, Ne-Yo and Trey Songz. Music throughout the event will be provided by Questlove
