A mans dreams come to life as his group has 2nd Birthday
(1888PressRelease) March 24, 2009 - Over 2 years ago Chris Rayburn had a vision. Semi Retired from the Roofing Industry he wanted to keep his love for roofing alive and give fellow contractors a place to discuss current roofing practices, OSHA, Lic/Ins and be able to even joke around to unwind. Going directly out of pocket Chris started the National Roof Group (NRG).
To enhance the features of his new NRG group Chris added “The Roofing Channel”. Chris decided it was not enough to see plain single dimension faces and flat still pictures of roofing contractors and roofing products, Chris wanted to film roofs being applied and interview one on one the contractors that worked in the scorching heat and bitter cold. With camera equipment in hand Chris started traveling around the United States filming large industrial roofs to small residential roofs. This became such a hit that many roofers today carry these clips on their laptops to show customers. This gives both the contractor and Roof Material Manufacture prestige in a multibillion dollar market.
Many of the original members of the National Roof Group Forum had great knowledge of their trade but were lacking in the new world of Web sites. To start Chris offered some free Web Sites as a thank you to those whom joined his forum. Today Chris offers greatly reduced prices on Web Sites and Hosting. As the Forum grew Chris started adding four color business cards on both sides, Postcards and brooches at a price most charge just for the paper stock.
I spoke to quite a few of the members who told me what they liked about the National Roofing Group Forum the most was it was private, you have to register which leaves out most of the spamming and leads to better content. They say Chris runs a loose ship for the good of the forum but will step in and take control if someone gets too far out of line.
The best part of the Forum and other benefits is, it’s free. You can join and post daily or simply read what is going on in the roofing world around you. If you know a great way to install a roof or simply have a joke to share or building issue to discuss the NRG is your free place to do it.
