Mediums range from traditional to recycled materials. The gallery is run exclusively by volunteers and 100% of its proceeds go to local charities.

Once again the powers of serendipity united these two businesses with Promises 2 Kids, non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse, through prevention, education, advocacy and funding (www.promises2kids.org). Formerly known as Child Abuse Prevention Foundation, Promises 2 kids is best known for raising funds to build and support the Polinsky Children’s Center, the County’s emergency shelter for abused and neglected kids, and the development of San Pasqual Academy, a model residential high school for foster children located near Escondido, just north of San Diego.

In an effort to support Promises2kids’ mission, Miriam Chor Freitas designed an exclusive heart necklace that represents our love and commitment to our children and, on Sunday, June 28th, 2009, Miriam Jewels and Art N Soul on 101 will host a fundraiser to raise funds to further support Promises2Kids. The event will take place at the gallery on 622 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, CA 92024, between 2 and 6pm.
