  • Trenton-Ewing, NJ (1888PressRelease) September 18, 2014 - Did you visit the State Farm and Horse Fair with your child? After enjoying lots of fun, you must have left with wonderful memories. Published by Lillibett Books, there is a new children's book to keep those memories fresh. A CARROT FOR BILLY tells the story of a goat, Billy, who escapes from his pen and with a motley group of other escaped animals leads a merry chase through the Fair. As part of the art, a four-page gatefold, 10 by 39 inches, gives a wonderful bird's eye view of the Fair-grounds showing all the fun activities. Your young reader will chuckle with delight on spotting the racing pigs, the donkey rides, fun barn for kids, and so much more depicted in the illustration.

With years of experience in the publishing industry as a designer, author, and illustrator, Elizabeth Rodger delivers a consistent quality of excellence throughout this big handsome hardbound. Details on A CARROT FOR BILLY can be acquired at the company web site lillibettbooks.com
A native of Scotland, Rodger graduated from the Glasgow School of art, a world renowned institution accredited by the University of Glasgow.

She completed post graduate studies on children's literature and illustration, and eventually fulfilled her dream of having her titles published by major companies such as Simon & Schuster, Random House, Scholastic, Golden Books, and others. In recent years she has given presentations on the production of a book to Kindergarten and First Grade classes at a local Elementary. As a designer, author, and illustrator, she can show the physical elements in the progression of production from manuscript through layout to finished art. She smiles at the memories of eyes widening with understanding as a young audience viewed the finished art side-by-side with the reproduction in the printed book.

Located in Sparta, Northern New Jersey, Lillibett Books is devoted primarily to publishing books for children by Elizabeth Rodger. Information on future releases is available at http://www.lillibettbooks.com on the LittleKids page. And, with the releases Rodger hopes, just maybe, some children will get hooked on reading.
