  • St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) January 21, 2009 - Distributors serving the US safety and engineering & maintenance sectors are being offered a step up the ladder of success as the result of a recently formed Anglo/American joint venture.

For four years the St Louis based Wise Safety and Environmental company has been distributing the British made Lobo access system to American companies as varied as Anheuser-Busch, ATK, NASA and General Motors. Wise VP, Mike Milne, estimates that this has saved his customers many hundreds of thousands of dollars in conventional scaffolding costs.

Now his business has formed a joint venture with UK based Lobo Systems Limited who design and product it and, together, they plan to build a coast-to-coast distributor network covering the whole of the USA.

“It is tremendously exciting news and a great opportunity for American distribution specialists serving the safety market and the engineering and maintenance sectors to handle a product that is, quite literally, ground breaking,” says Robert Bokros, CEO of the Lobo Systems UK Limited.

On both sides of the Atlantic, Lobo has revolutionised the way industry works safely at height. It is an innovative work platform that can be configured to meet almost any access application. It is put together without tools and its unique, patented, clamps provide a safe and secure working facility up to a maximum height of ten metres. Personnel can reconfigure the system easily so that it can be moved from one project to another.

“Lobo is the future for access,” confirms Mike Milne. “Conventional scaffolding is big, bulky and once erected, is there until it is dismantled. It offers no flexibility and has to be built by a team of specialists. That is why it is incredibly expensive to use. Our system is fully OSHA compliant and meets all Federal and State work at height regulations.

“It can be put together by non specialists and is simple to dismantle or reconfigure to meet a new application. Wheels can be added for easy movement around a plant. Lobo can be erected inside a plant and the various struts can be threaded between pipework and machinery with complete safety.”

Firms interested in becoming part of the distributor network should contact Dmitry Ostrovskiy at Lobo USA Inc. on 800-777-7347 or 314-587-4146
