  • (1888PressRelease) February 08, 2007 - IRVINE, CALIF. - Award-winning KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, is pleased to announce that David Senden, a principal and lead residential designer, has been invited by the Dallas Home Builders Association, the largest home builders association in Texas, to participate as a judge for the Dallas McSAM Awards.

    The prestigious McSAM Award is given to builders, developers and associates who have made a significant and creative contribution in residential marketing through specific achievements during the year. Judging will be held February 22-24, 2007 at the Dallas Home Builders Association’s office in Plano, Texas.

    Noted as one of the country’s top residential design firms, KTGY has won countless awards for its residential and senior housing projects including the Gold Nugget, Builder’s Choice, Best in American Living Awards, Pillars of Industry, MAME, SAM, NAHB Gold Awards, Multifamily Executive, Elan, Homer and Laurel Awards.

    Senden is responsible for the initial design/planning concept through the design development phase. He leads a team of designers and planners that work hand in hand with the local jurisdiction, builder and community. With a focus on infill housing, Senden provides the vision for the design of each residence and overall neighborhood.

    Prior to joining KTGY, Senden was a key member of various design firms in Southern California and Louisiana. His experience covers a wide range of regions, with the most recent concentration being in the San Francisco Bay Area for builders, such as Regis Homes, SummerHill Homes, Taylor-Woodrow, Bridge Housing and Toll Brothers.

    Senden was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and a Master of Architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has also served as a studio critic for the schools of architecture at California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and Tulane University. He currently resides in Long Beach, Calif.

    The Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas is a professional organization dedicated to promoting new home ownership, industry advancements and community good works. The HBA is the largest local home builders association in Texas; the HBA covers a seven-county area of some 5,500 square miles with a population of more than three million.
