  • (1888PressRelease) October 30, 2010 - Shanghai, China - Jinjiang Inns, one of China's leading hotel chains, recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary recently acquired a 70% stake in Jin Guang Investment Co. Ltd, bringing the total number of Jinjiang budget Chinese hotels to over 540 across the country.

Jinjiang Inn's CEO Mr. Yu said of the acquisition that "Jinjiang Inn merging with Jinjiang shares, is bound to accelerate the overall development of the company in the next 3 to 5 years. We're aiming to reach 1,000 hotels across the country, and our current occupancy rates and guest feedback says that is a realistic and achievable goal."

"The Jin-Guang acquisition means that we are halfway there," Mr. Yu concluded.

The Chinese budget hotel chain expects that the acquisition will not only help to expand its market share, but also have a positive influence on its branding and reputation.

Tracey Guo, marketing manager for Jinjiang Inns, said that "Jin Guang Investment had some of China's first green hotels, an environmental aim shared with Jinjiang Inn. Additionally, Jin Guang shares the same approach as Jinjiang Inn in offering basic quality four star services at a low price, so we think thhat the merger will be a good philosophical fit."

The decision to make the acquisition was positively influenced by strong occupancy rates across most of Jinjiang's Shanghai hotels, Beijing hotels, Chengdu hotels and other regional centers.

Guest feedback has been consistently positive, with a general sentiment among reviewers on TripAdvisor and other hotel review sites that Jinjiang Inns are clean, well-equipped and comfortable, and represent good value for money with simple facilities and service.
