    The partnership creates a significant platform for Jinjiang Inn to market their Shanghai hotels to a global audience, and also marks a major inroad for Expedia into the large and lucrative Chinese market.

    The cooperation with Expedia will further Jinjiang's already solid plans for growth into the future, which include:

    Expedia has been a major name in online travel bookings since the company was started by Microsoft in the 1990s. The company also owns several other travel and Shanghai accommodation-related sites, including hotels.com and TripAdvisor.

    The partnership is a major one, representing an addition of 190 stores of information for different Shanghai hotels, Chengdu hotels, Qingdao hotels and Xi'an hotels to Expedia. Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi noted that Expedia are committed to absorbing more information for Chinese hotels into their global marketing platform.
