  • (1888PressRelease) October 17, 2008 - Snog, Marry, Avoid is a forced choice ratings game, played in many versions and known by several names. It has been made popular in recent times with radio versions both in the USA and UK on the Howard Stern and Scott Mills shows respectively. A version of the game has also been shown on BBC UK television, hosted by Jenny Frost, called 'snog marry avoid'.

"We are taking a fresh look at the social networking genre," said Jason Temple, Managing Director of Jemple, whose name the site derives from. "There are a handful of big boys out there basically offering exactly the same services, so we have worked hard to offer something different with Jemple.com".

Jemple members can optionally enter the game and see detailed stats on how they are being rated. The Jemple team are sure that this twist on the traditonal ratings games offered by many sites offers something less throwaway to its members.

"Not only is the game highly addictive both to play and participate in," Temple added. "But there is a further twist in that the game is truly interactive, allowing conversation to take place between the person playing the game and our site characters known as 'Mad Sane' and 'Eva Diva', which make it truly unique".

The site characters appear after a games results have been served to the player, to deliver kind words, humor or sarcasm. The player has the opportunity to respond to the site characters by typing a reply into the website. Their replies are processed by a specially designed algorithm to produce responses and further questions, which can build into bizarre conversations. These conversations are then posted to the site for people to view, and they make for some odd reading!
