  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) October 02, 2016 - insulinK™ - the world's first insulin dosage tracker, automatically connects insulin dosages and blood glucose levels. For a long time, these were independent of each other; even though, the connection between them is extremely important to diabetes management. Fortunately, insulinK™ makes this connection a possible reality. With insulinK™, Diabetics will have a clearer grasp of their diabetes and can, in turn, manage it better.

insulinK™ plus the Dnurse App creates a perfect closed-loop Smart Internet Device. At the same time, the App's IDSS (Intelligent Decision Supporting System) gives users personalized real-time feedback and suggestions according to their recorded data like medication, blood glucose levels, dietary intake and physical activity. All this data can be transferred to the App, insulin dosages via Bluetooth, to improve self-management ability.

Likewise, with the Dnurse App and seamless Social Media sharing tools, diabetics can share their glycemic status with approved caregivers. Diabetics can also get recommendations, reminders, and help from online Doctors. All geared towards a deeper understanding of diabetes.

Actually, behind insulinK™ is a touching story. 2013, when Jason Li, CEO of Beijing Dnurse Technology Ltd, was having dinner with a good friend, he wondered why his friend called his son frequently. His friend confessed his son was a Type 1 Diabetic (T1D) and needed to remind him to test his blood glucose and inject insulin timely. Jason was shocked and never thought the lovely and cute boy suffered from diabetes. In fact, Jason's friend and his wife are very prestigious doctors but told him that the boy's diabetes control was not ideal, and even terrible because there were no active management tools. He knew diabetes management was complicated but was determined to do something for the boy. Also, the mass number of other Diabetics also pushed him to invent.

Coincidentally, Sinocare Inc. approached Jason to help design a new blood glucose meter. Until then, Jason had over 14 years experience in telecommunication device development working for Motorola and Techfaith. Additionally, Jason was CEO of Infosonics China from 2010-2013. These two contributed to Jason's awareness of the missing gap in diabetes management in China. Immediately, he found another good friend, Brent Zheng, Vice President of development at Infosonics China - 8 years experience in the Internet and Technology field. Both decided to set up a company, using technology to change diabetes management.

January 2015, China's largest media CCTV invited Jason and he told the public the original intention of founding Beijing Dnurse Technology Limited. He said, "At first I just want to help my friend. But after researching, I learned the terrible condition of diabetes management in China. I am a technician, before this, I had no idea about diabetes. But my friend made me realize that medicine is not the most important part in diabetes management. It's diabetics' self-management. Only improving self-management can lead to better diabetes management. After the release of the Dnurse App, we found that only using software isn't enough. But the combination of software and hardware can better improve the Diabetics compliance."

Dnurse released the cartoon monkey Blood Glucose Meter this year for Children's Day. It's the world's first cartoon Blood Glucose Meter. The release was Jason not forgetting his original intention of providing services to Diabetics, especially T1D children. Jason and Brent used their background in Technology to make their dream a reality - help more insulin injecting Diabetics. Since it foundation, Dnurse has been focused on the idea "Advanced technology creates better lives for everyone" releasing several products: Dnurse Smartphone Blood Glucose Meter, Dnurse Smartphone App, and this time, insulinK™.
