  • Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) November 02, 2009 - Ridgeline Hospitality, LLC is pleased to announce that their President and CEO, Dr. Diana Driscoll, LEED AP has just begun helping other hoteliers in need with “Hotel Rescue™”.

Dr. Driscoll, LEED AP designed Hotel Rescue™ to assist hoteliers in immediate cash flow shortages, and 'green' initiatives to lower operating costs. Hotel Rescue™ combines Dr. Driscoll’s knowledge of ‘going green’ with the expertise of others in the fields of tax incentives, tax strategies, government loan programs, government bond programs and many other strategies designed to help hotels survive through these difficult times.

“I learned so much while researching for my own hotels. Sharing this knowledge is the right thing to do,” said Dr. Driscoll. “Some hotels would like to be more “green” and lower their operating costs, but they don’t know where to begin, much less where to get the cash flow to pay for these changes. My first priority is to stop the hemorrhaging and increase their cash flow wherever possible. And then if they are interested, we can look at gradually incorporating “green, sustainable” initiatives to help them down the road. This has been a very difficult time for many hoteliers, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to reach out to them and find some financial help that they may not be aware of. It is almost a full-time job to keep up with all of the incentives and changes in governmental programs!”

As stated in the Chicago Tribune (10/19/2009), “As many as one in five hotels are believed to be at risk of foreclosure.” The team at Hotel Rescue™ is constantly researching financial options available for hoteliers in order to reduce this number of foreclosures. As Scott Smith, MAI described in PKF’s “Outlook for Hotel Investments, October 2009”, “…it has become evident that investors anticipate continued declines in operating incomes and resulting loss in property values through the remainder of 2009 and into 2010. That being said, investors also expect the industry to rebound in 2011, and today's distressed environment will provide exceptional investment opportunities to those buyers with the ability to take advantage.” Thus said, many hoteliers need a ‘stop-gap’ method to assist them until an uptick in hospitality returns. Hotel Rescue™ was created to assist hoteliers in locating a method that can work for them. “And then,” continued Dr. Driscoll, “we can focus on reducing operating costs and increasing the value of the hotel with ‘green’ changes. There is no reason this needs to be done overnight.”

Dr. Driscoll is adamant about not charging a penny to these hoteliers unless she is able to help them. In the first telephone consultation with the hotel owner or operator, Dr. Driscoll is able to ascertain enough information to know whether she can help them with immediate cash flow. Only then is a site visit planned, and fees charged. As Dr. Driscoll states, “Fees are usually approximately 7-10% of the increase in cash flow. I have no intention of taking advantage of anyone’s situation. I deeply believe that we are all in this together and there will be an ending to these difficult times. I’m certainly ‘seasoned’ enough to have seen a few cycles come and go, and although this cycle feels worse than the last two, it too, shall pass.
