The first promotion, Seafood Madness, is priced at 2,000TB for 2 persons (around US$60) and includes:

• 12 oysters fines de claries vendee (oysters grown in a special conditions)
• Blue crabs
• Freshly cooked tiger prawns
• Mud crab
• Rock lobster
• Red shallots in vinegar, butter, rye bread, lemon and mayonnaise on the side
• Plus a free bottle of Spanish champagne

The second promotion offers:
• 6 oysters de claries vendee for 499TB, 1 free glass of Spanish champagne
• 12 oysters for 999TB, 2 free glasses of Spanish champagne
• 24 oysters for 1999TB, 1 free bottle of Spanish champagne

Hotel manager, Nicolas Lerat, says that he's heard waves of compliments for the taste and pricing of the new promotions in the days since they were launched. "I haven't seen so many loosened belt buckles in some time! We get fresh seafood delivered regularly, and with the promotion it is barely put away before it has been ordered".

"The Parisian-style Seafood Madness platter has been particularly appreciated by guests", Mr Lerat continued.

The specials are available from either Mercure Pattaya's Italian-style restaurant, Cappuccino, or the dedicated Thai eatery, M Café. "The dishes are prepared in the same way, but the dining context can be chosen to suit the guest", said Mr Lerat.

A 24-hour advance booking is required for the Seafood Madness menu.
