If you are considering weight loss surgery and want to learn more about it, please attend the Bariatric seminar information session on April 15th, 2009 at Knights of Columbus (669 Avenue C Bayonne, NJ). The My Program for Life team will be available to discuss the different aspects of weight loss surgery, including nutrition, health and fitness, lifestyle modification and many health related topics. A medical professional will explain the procedure and process from the initial consultation to post surgical nutrition counseling.

The seminar features bariatric surgeons that will be available to answer any questions related to weight loss surgery. The My Program for Life bariatric surgery team is led by Doctors Alexander D. Abkin, Nicholas A. Bertha, and Vincent A. Iannace, voted Top Docs for NJ Gastric Bypass Surgery, NJ Lap Band Surgery and NJ Bariatric Surgery.

Weight loss surgery support groups will meet at 6:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus. Our support group is designed for both pre-op and post-op bariatric surgery patients, as well as any family and friends who would like to participate.

One of the most important aspects of the weight loss surgery journey is the support that patients receive. Especially the support from others, like themselves, who have experienced the weight loss journey themselves.

It is important to understand that our support groups are for all patients, and or people who are considering surgery. Discussions, with people who can relate with you, are an extremely important part of the weight loss journey.
