  • (1888PressRelease) April 11, 2011 - Centreboard Training and Development Ltd. now offers great new innovative and thought-provoking professional development options for educators. A range of flexible online courses are currently rolled out, with three courses already open for enrolment! The courses focus on 'hard' skills like systematic course design and development, and more 'softer' skills to be more effective in the role of educator.

The courses are hands-on, full-on, meaningful and energising. "Centreboard's mission is to make learning more relevant and inspiring, which means that authentic, contextualised and real-world learning is the heart of everything we do", Evelyn Bos, Director of Centreboard, says. "Interaction is an important part in learning and takes place in our courses via scheduled live conference calls, discussion forums, email, and chat.", she continues. "An electronic learning environment, Moodle, is used to manage learning activities, submit course work, share resources, and interact."

Centreboard recognises the value of coaching, by incorporating the development of coaching skills in several courses, but also by offering individual coaching programmes as an addition to a course. "Coaching supports the translation of newly developed insights into action and successful implementation", Evelyn says, "That's why we highly recommend follow-through of your training by being coached while you transfer your learning to the workplace."

"A good way to learn more about Centreboard's flexible courses is to attend our live information call", Evelyn concludes, "It is a good way to explore what might be right for you, how elearning works with us, and how we make your professional development relevant and inspiring!".
