  • Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2010 - Rock band One Step Away is rapidly gaining momentum, and exposure. On July 3, 2010, Boston Harborfest's Kevin Shea, Senior Executive V. President of Marketing & Promotions, introduced One Step Away at their Boston City Hall performance: "They travelled home from the recording studios in Pennsylvania last night to perform this special show for you…"

With a new full length album just weeks from its official release, Boston's heart-throb band One Step Away heads out on a nationwide promotional tour. The first leg of their tour will be in Los Angeles, CA , giving private and public performances at multiple locations including Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios CityWalk and Whiskey a GoGo. Their tour will consist of many traditional performances as well as promotional retail venue shows, radio shows and interviews.

This is not your typical rock-pop band. One Step Away is comprised of talented and ambitious teenagers. Members of One Step Away include: 17-year-olds Adam Carrington of Andover MA (Lead Vocals), Terence Healy of Wilmington MA (Lead Guitar), Mike Nuzzolo of Andover MA (Bass/Vocals) and 15-year-old Ben Trudeau of Beverly MA (Drums). Graced with dozens of awards and contest-wins, they took the next step to get their latest set of originals produced professionally. This past spring, juggling school, sports, volunteer work, friends and family, these youth found time to spend 10-20 hours a week with their producers, often over Skype. After classes got out in June, they travelled to Pennsylvania where they completed an intense recording experience that consisted of several weeks with dual-studio tracking and mixing of their songs. The result was a brand new album, stuffed with catchy original songs, richly laden with treasures of ear-candy harmonies and instrumental texturing. One Step Away now has just under twenty copyrighted songs to their name! Not bad for very active high school students.

One Step Away began in 2006, morphing to become the young phenom they are today. They are no stranger to the stage and music industry with performances given in a variety of major venues like Foxwoods MGM Grand, Boston Hard Rock Cafe, radio and on several New England TV stations like WBZ, WSBK and RI Fox TV. One Step Away is known for its rare ability to deliver gorgeous melodic vocals that soar over precision instrumentals. The dynamic rock quartet prides themselves in delivering across the full spectrum of rock from soft rock ballads like "Tomorrow and Forever" to edgy precision rock of "In This Moment". They engage their audiences with amazingly dynamic shows, creating a strong crowd magnetism readily seen by their post-performance flock of mesmerized and energized fans that surround them, asking for signatures and pictures. Barry Nolan, Emmy Award winning television journalist and commentator, stated this about One Step Away: "You bring the sense of joy and fun to rock and roll which is what it deserves to have."

On July 31st, One Step Away has a 'homecoming' tour stop where Boston residents can catch them at Newburyport's Yankee Homecoming Celebrations at 3-4:30pm at Market Square. The next day they head to the Midwest, stopping first with a special return-performance at Six Flags New England. The tour continues with their performances in multiple states including Illinois, Missouri, Maryland, New Jersey and many more.
