(1888PressRelease) July 09, 2010 - Oregon Oldtime Senior Fiddling Champion Roland White from Bend Oregon recently attended and won several awards at the 57th Annual National Oldtime Fiddle Contest and Festival held the 3rd full week in June in Weiser Idaho.

As Oregon State Senior Fiddling Champion he was invited to enter the Certified Showcase Contest that is held each evening of the National Oldtime Fiddler's Contest. Making a historic and patriotic presentation as "Colonial Man, a Visitor From the Past", he performed a medley of 3 tunes demonstrating the origins of American fiddle music and finishing with the well know fiddle tune Liberty. He appeared in an authentic period costume from early America.

Later in the week he placed in the Top Ten of the National Senior Division Championships, which has top fiddlers attending from around the nation for ages 60 to 69.
