  • (1888PressRelease) April 12, 2012 - FedBiz Access launches an industry changing government contracting validation process with their development of the Government Readiness Level (GRL) Scale. The GRL was developed through collaboration between experienced Contracting Officers and FedBiz Access. Through a series of consultations, an organization can determine their GRL level; clearly defining how well prepared a business is to compete within the federal government contracting arena.

    The need for the GRL Strategy was first recognized by Contracting Officers at Skyway. Throughout their years of experience they noticed businesses were having the same troubling experiences disqualifying them from the bidding process. Despite the fact a business was qualified, competent, and esteemed, they were losing contracts to firms that had greater knowledge of the procurement process. It became clear to the Contracting Officers this was occurring primarily due to lack of guidance and mentorship for these businesses.
