  • Stamford-Norwalk, CT (1888PressRelease) January 31, 2014 - Envirotech of Fairfield County Inc. is proud to announce the purchase of a Hydraulic MT 540 Geo-Probe.

This is a top of the line geo probe and used for testing soil samples for contaminants such as chemical spills, heating oil that has leaked into the soil.

Envirotech has been serving their community in Connecticut for over 20 years. They take pride in using the top of the line equipment and to stay current for the best accuracy for their clients.

This model of geo probe doesn't need a vehicle to contend with but still the reliable Geoprobe direct push power you've come to expect. The Model 540MT probe assembly is fabricated from the same components as other 5400 Series machines, and is accompanied by a PortaCo power unit.

It's easily maneuvered by two people. When folded, the unit is less than 29 inches (737 mm) high. The rear wheel and handle pivot 360 degrees to deliver the tightest turning radius possible.

This geo probe is equipped with a GH40 Sil Probing Hammer.

Supplies 25,000 pound of pulling capacity.

Performs same operations as larger probes including concrete drilling, soil and groundwater sampling and conductivity logging.

    Weighs less than 725 pounds.

Rear transport wheels and handle pivot 360 degrees to maneuver probe in extremely close quarters.

Removable outriggers enhance stability while probing.

Powered by a PortaCo power unit.
