Dr. Castiblanco earned her medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine followed by an internship at Greenwich Hospital. She then completed her residency in ophthalmology at Yale University School of Medicine and then attended a Fellowship in Uveitis at Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution (MERSI) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
