  • (1888PressRelease) March 31, 2017 - Silver and mineral miner DNS Minerals confirms it has entered into an agreement which secures it the rights to distribute a revolutionary portable mineral tester that can be powered by a battery back small enough to be carried on a utility belt.

The device is able to crush small samples of rock, converting it into 200 mesh grade powder and then can then be analysed for its metallic composition on site.

"We're all too aware of the fact that product distribution has nothing to do with our core business model but such was the impression made on our principals when the device was demonstrated to us at our headquarters that we approached the manufacturer with a proposal that would potentially be to both our benefits," explained Max Chapman of DNS Minerals.

The company is conducting exploratory research and feasibility studies in increasingly remote and mountainous locations where deployment of large plant equipment is at best inconvenient and, at worst, simply impossible.

It is envisaged that the device will sell to end users at around US$400 per unit while the actual production cost per unit is US$150.

"We anticipate fierce demand for this device within the mining industry. Anything that can potentially help reduce the cost of exploration particularly at a time when the metals and minerals industry is facing difficult headwinds and challenges will be well-received," added Chapman.

DNS Minerals says it will commit to funding a global dealer network by utilizing a franchise model which it believes will minimize capital expenditure.
