    The typical home cost less than $400 to powerwash and less than $4000 to paint. These prices are much lower than the cost associated with putting siding on your home. It seems that home owners haven't stopped their spending, they've just prioritized it a little better.

    "We typically paint 30-50 houses between May and September every year," says Christopher Almeida. "I don't see any indication that number will drop this year. Although we do anticipate stronger price competition with the influx of contractors since much of the new construction work has dried up."

    Typically buyers and sellers of real estate make up a big segment of paint contracting work each year. The slowdown in the real estate market has only served to remind sellers just how important curb appeal is.

    "Realtors are calling us more and more asking what we can do to make a house easier on the eye, and more likely to sell," says Christopher Almeida. "Sometimes we can simply powerwash the house and it will look one hundred times better. Other times we'll paint the entire house. The small price the home owner has to pay is worth it if it helps convince someone to buy."
