  • (1888PressRelease) May 29, 2013 - Face Of Fashion (FOF), a fashion modeling and fashion design management under the direction of Carla Hazel, announces today that they are the producers of Caribbean Week New York 2013 - "Caribbean Fashion Tourism (CFT) 2013 in association with the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) USA, led by Director Ms. Sylma Brown. This premier high fashion event target Caribbean fashion models and designers, as well as, mainstream brands. This fashion event provide the platform for all participants to showcase their talent, creative fashion designs and inspirations for brand launching and an opportunity for buyers and investors to observe and decide which of the fabulous designs on the runway they will invest in.

    CFT 2013 is benefiting the Caribbean Tourism Organization Foundation. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to CTO Foundation, which is a not-for-profit organization that provides scholarships and financial assistance to Caribbean nationals pursuing studies in tourism and hospitality.

    Caribbean Fashion Tourism 2013 is scheduled for Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 at the historical New Yorker Hotel - Grand Ballroom, 481 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY 10001. Doors open at 6:00 pm; Red Carpet Reception from 6:00 - 6:45 pm; Showtime begin at 7:00 pm; Intermission at 8:30 pm with performance presented by BCT America-"Faces of East" led by Mr. Terrence West.

    The Commonwealth of Dominica Cultural Group - "Know Your Culture" will open the show embracing the Caribbean Culture, Spirit, Dance and Vibrant Colors. This is where the Caribbean Sun, Sand and Sea meet in the heart of New York's Fashion District welcoming Summer 2013 with Caribbean Fashion and Flavor.

    Don Ka-Me-Ly-On Productions (DKP) is a major partner and an official sponsor promoting Caribbean Fashion Tourism 2013. Mr. Lundgren U. Peters is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DKP. He is a 25 years veteran in the entertainment industry. His credit includes writer, poet, fashion event coordinator, recording artist and showcases and concert producer.

    This year, premier Italian wine brand VOGA has come aboard as a sponsor with a focus on the Caribbean Fashion Show. Well known worldwide and available in over 80 countries, VOGA is synonymous with style and welcomed the opportunity to be a part of the Caribbean Week New York 2013 events.     CFT 2013 main objectives to bring attention to Caribbean models and designers, empowering them to move forward in fashion and highlighting their contributions to the fashion industry, and branding the Caribbean as a global player in culture, tourism and fashion. CFT 2013 will showcase the creations of thirteen (13) designers, including Caribbean award-winning designer of 2010 Queen Esther of Kuumba Designs (St. Lucia), Rykardo De Jude Pneuaner (Barbados), Derrica Williamson (The Bahamas), Glenda Jones (Dominica), Carol Fraser (Guyana), Prajje Jean-Baptiste (Haiti), Gillian Francis - Minka (Jamaica), Kimya Glasgow (Saint Vincent & The Grenadines), Simon Duncan (Trinidad & Tobago), Alain Moore - (USA); Mainstream Brands: Katty Xiomara, Gunas, and A+ Dreams (Black Heart Fashion).

    One of Caribbean Fashion 2013 featured model is our very own Face Of Fashion "Jamaica" 2013 Winner, Ms. Chantal Clarke. Chantal is flying into New York City especially to grace New York City Fashion Stage with her unique signature walk and heart-face smile. She will showcase the best of the best Caribbean Fashion Designers Collections with a sense of Caribbean Pride.

    Supermodel stardom Ms. Georgie Badiel, is another featured model at Caribbean Fashion Tourism 2013. Georgie will walk the runway wearing the creations of some of the leading Caribbean fashion designers, demonstrating why she has been one of the most sort-after models since bursting onto the scene in the United States in 2008. Georgie has strut down the catwalk for world famous designers, including Chado Ralph Rucci, Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Christian Siriano, Oscar de la Renta, and Zang Toi.

    Celebrity Makeup and Hair Stylist Giselle Modeste will be leading the team with her main assistant makeup and hair stylist Tanasha Paris Garrett working with Arbonne Cosmetics Independent Consultants to create the glamorous looks for each designer, using inspiration from their respective collections. To depict Caribbean diversity, male and female models will be represented from all races to showcase various skin tones.
