Ampac Kirchberg Receives Flexo Print Nomination from German DFTA Awards

Ampac was nominated for two flexible pouch designs produced at their Switzerland plant location. Each design, printed on a flexographic press, was judged by the awards committee and was voted among the top three designs from over 300 total designs submitted through the DFTA (Deutschsprachige-Flexodruck-Fachgruppe) - the German Flexographic Association.

The first design in the "liquids" category is for "Weight Watcher's Italian Dressing" which is flexographic rollstock. The second design is a 3-layer stand-up retort pouch printed for "Suppe von Lisa" in the "food" category. The flexographic printing process encompasses size variability, a high amount of ink transfer, and suitability for different color systems. The DFTA awards reported that the level of quality of the submitted designs was excellent, making it difficult to choose an overall award for each category.
