  • (1888PressRelease) February 24, 2018 - Toronto, Canada –The new Digital distribution arm of The AMG Corp, AMG Visuals is excited to announce “AMGStreaming,” a new worldwide distribution service that provides additional digital distribution for the increasing number of filmmakers who are licensing their films directly to streaming platforms, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Video Direct’s Film Festival Stars.

AMG Visuals' "AMGStreaming" will complement any SVOD streaming deal by securing placement on leading digital distribution platforms, to enhance filmmakers’ revenue opportunities by making their film available to millions of additional viewers to rent or to buy.

The new aggregation deal provides distribution to:

TVOD (Transactional VOD): iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant, Vudu, FandangoNOW, XBOX, SONY PlayStation, Steam, SVOD...

(Subscription VOD): Fandor, Netflix, Hulu, PureFlix, Shudder, Kanopy...

Cable On Demand (US-based): iNDemand, Time Warner Cable/Spectrum, Cox, Optimum/CableVision, Comcast, DirecTV, DISH, Verizon FiOS...

AMGStreaming will launch with several new releases encompassing feature films, documentaries and episodic television series. Several already in production and Executive Produced by AMG Visuals.

“The trend of films selling directly to streaming services has been a shot in the arm for the independent film sector, but often filmmakers need help identifying and exploiting all other distribution opportunities that are still on the table,” said Duane Farley, AMG’s Director of Content Distribution. “At AMG Visuals, we understand that filmmakers want more options when it comes to distribution. With AMGStreaming, we’re offering a unique solution to filmmakers that is more profitable, more cost-effective, and a heck of a lot easier than doing it on your own.”

“Navigating the evolving digital distribution landscape can be complex,” says Mark Berry, Chairman at AMG. “AMGStreaming deal is a game-changer for independent releases in the age of streaming platforms, like Netflix and Amazon, allowing filmmakers and financiers to create real awareness for their films, and attract an audience beyond the streaming subscriber base.”

AMGStreaming is open to any feature-length film or documentary following completion of an SVOD (subscription streaming) deal. Filmmakers receive 2-year, non-exclusive distribution in the US or worldwide.

AMG will be attending TIFF 2018 to add films to the AMGStreaming programming platforms.
