  • Middlesex-Somerset-Hunterdon, NJ (1888PressRelease) September 19, 2009 - The New Jersey Chapter of the American Marketing Association (NJAMA) announced a social media seminar and networking event scheduled to take place September 24th. Aaron Strout, Chief Marketing Officer for Powered, will explain the best use of social media tools to engage customers and achieve business objectives. Founded in 1999, Powered specializes in creating social marketing programs that help brands connect and build relationships with their customers through managed online communities.

    Strout will uncover the fundamentals of the new language of social media and explain the distinctions and best use of Twitter, Facebook and blogs. Strout will also share lessons from companies such as Sony and Atkins, which have successfully utilized social media to grow sales.

    The event will take place in the Hunt Room of The Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn, 225 Route 202, Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Registration, networking, and cash bar will open at 5:30 pm, with dinner at 6:00 pm. A chapter meeting at 6:45 pm will precede the feature presentation at 7:00 pm. Event attendees will have the opportunity to exchange best practices with other marketing leaders in the local community.
