  • Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) April 06, 2009 - Fresh Start Housing Begins Operations

Fresh Start Housing announces that it will begin operations in Richmond, Indiana. Fresh Start Housing is a company devoted to providing transitional housing for aged out foster children. Fresh Start Housing offers a new concept for preparing aged-out foster children to transition from the foster care program to their own self-sufficient adult life.

Instead of being completely on their own once they are eighteen years old, the former foster children will have the opportunity for additional assistance as they adjust to their new life.

Fresh Start Housing offers young adults the opportunity to become independent while still living in a communal environment for a short period of time. Residents of the program will have a private room in a shared house with other young adults and will have a support system in place to help them plan for their future. Residents will be provided with everything they need to begin their new life, but must learn to be self-sufficient, maintain a job, and stay on course to become fully independent in a short period of time, thus making room for additional young adults in the program.
