Aeroshuttle is a Scheduled Shuttle Service that will operate between the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Downtown Vancouver. Aeroshuttle was developed after proven demand in the Vancouver ground transportation industry for a scheduled shuttle service.
This shuttle service will be operated separately from Aerocar Service, says Angela Mackinnon, Account Manager, Aerocar Service. "Aerocar Service is the Exclusive Curbside Sedan and Limousine Service at YVR and now Aeroshuttle is an extension of the service we offer our clients". The Soft Opening took place on September 2nd 2010 and the Grand Opening is scheduled for September 9th 2010.
Thousands of visitors travel to and from YVR each day and Aeroshuttle will provide them with another fast and cost efficient mode of transportation to and from the airport. There is no reservation required for this service and almost thirty (30) different locations to board or exit the shuttle. The primary ticket agent at the airport will be the British Columbia Visitor Centers at YVR. Tickets can also be purchased from the driver directly, using cash or credit card.
"We selected the hotels on route by surveying tourism organizations, hotels and attractions in the Lower Mainland," said Mackinnon. "We will use the first three months of service to determine if changes will be made to the schedule or passenger capacity." Currently the shuttle stops at over 30 hotels in Downtown Vancouver.
