  • (1888PressRelease) April 15, 2008 - Kids Sports Stars (KSS) will hold its annual ALL STAR celebration with Special Guest Lil Jordan April 30, 2008 at Desert Highlands in Phoenix, Arizona. The event will honor the top kids who have excelled in programs to combat the growing epidemic of obesity in children.

The ALL STARS will be honored with a special ceremony where they will receive trophies and the chance to learn from Special Guest Lil Jordan, a ten year old golfer/performer who will share with the kids the etiquette of golf ,and give a few putting tips before the kids begin a putting contest.

The new ALL STARS have excelled in the program offered within their school district and were chosen as the best from over 1300 kids who participated over the past year. The kids were challenged to walk/run a marathon over a four month period or to hike the trails of the Grand Canyon. Some of these ALL STARS have walked over 100 miles during the school year. Others have been leaders among their peers and others have overcome special difficulties to achieve their physical activity goals.

Please join us in congratulating all of these ALL STARS and the teachers who have volunteered their time to lead the efforts in the schools.
