May 07, 2008 - Zoe Lamont is part of the business coaching firm owned by Andrew Roberts and Michael Choi and will be practicing from her office in Bondi Junction, serving a range of business owners across industries in Sydney and regional NSW. The decision to join ActionCOACH was a timely one for Lamont. Lamont met a group of ActionCOACH business coaches at an NLP course.
At the time, she was running a PR/ Marketing consultancy and was able to see huge opportunities and areas of potential growth within the small-to-medium sized business sectors, often needing more support, resources and time to deliver what she wanted to achieve. “The opportunity to receive more support and resources came through ActionCOACH and I decided to join this firm,” she said.
Prior to joining ActionCOACH, Lamont built and ran two businesses. “Fuelthinking Communication Solutions was born out of a desire to build social and environmental elements into businesses to leverage the marketing potential in what I believe to be an emerging trend toward ‘profit for purpose’ enterprises,” she said. She also built Sigrun & Lamont, a design business linked to and supporting a Burmese migrant community on the Myanmar/Thai border. “I am still involved in this company and we sell stationery, jewellery and accessories online and wholesale to businesses,” she said.
“The Action system has also been fundamental in restructuring and developing my own business,” she said. Lamont has also worked as PR Consultant for a number of corporate finance clients including ING DIRECT, Greening Australia, BPAY, Caltex and Travelex.
Lamont’s interest in training and development came from a one-year stint as Program Manager in London for an organization that ran training programs for teams working in Public Private Partnership projects. Lamont also played a central role in establishing and introducing a new political party in Australia that gained global media attention in less than two months through a simple media and viral marketing campaign.
Lamont’s love of people, opportunities, success and fun will help her introduce Action tools and systems into businesses with relative ease. Lamont looks at ActionCOACH as a great learning prospect, which she believes will further her personal and professional development. Besides being part of various networking groups, Lamont runs a political party, and is constantly involved with many charitable organizations and events.
