Youth Leadership Retreat – Texas Teens Challenged To Build Self- Confidence, Leadership Skills, And Improve Communication

Midland’s corporate team building company, High Performance Teams, has announced a Youth Leadership Retreat weekend to occur at Prude Ranch the weekend of August 15-17, 2008.


Midland, TX (1888PressRelease) July 04, 2008 - Midland’s corporate team building company, High Performance Teams (led by Johnny Vargas and wife Erika Vargas), has announced a Youth Leadership Retreat weekend to occur at Prude Ranch (near Ft. Davis) the weekend of August 15-17, 2008.

The theme of the weekend is “Changing Tomorrow by Inspiring Today” and is open to all High School students in grades 9-12 (including entering freshmen and exiting seniors). The goal for the retreat is to Inspire, Energize, and Empower the attending teens through individual and group challenges, reflection, and discussion.

The fee to attend is $125 and includes 2 nights lodging in a bunkhouse style cabin, all meals, group activities, and snacks throughout the weekend. Groups sending 10 or more students are invited to send an adult facilitator at no additional cost. Activities will include various hands-on interactive team-building challenges as well as high and low ropes courses. Horseback riding, swimming, and hiking will also be available during the weekend.

High Performance Teams is based in Midland, TX and offers corporate team building and professional development coaching locally in-person and globally online.

HPTeams.com was envisioned by Midland resident, Johnny Vargas. Mr. Vargas was born and raised in the Permian Basin and moved away at age 18 to attend The University of Texas at Austin. While in Austin and later in San Antonio, Johnny participated in and led team building sessions within corporate and startup technical teams as well as leadership retreats for individuals of all ages. Seventeen years later and accompanied by his wife and two children, Johnny has returned to the Permian Basin and is spreading his personal experiences with others through the gift and power of team building and leadership development.
