January 14, 2007 - YouPaytheWay.com is a company with two goals in mind. To be able to create a no-strings-attached scholarship while providing a platform for companies to effectively promote and advertise themselves.
Scholarships are available to legal US residents who are currently attending or about to attend an accredited university and/or trade school. Students will strive for this scholarship because there is no grade requirements, no specific degree necessary, and the application is free. Students are required to submit a video clip of themselves explaining exactly why they deserve a scholarship. Anyone who visits the site will have the opportunity to vote and ultimately decide which students win a scholarship after the site has sold its millionth pixel. Four-year university students or graduate students will receive $5,000 and students attending a two-year college or trade school will receive $2,500
The appeal to businesses is the potential for millions of people to view their advertisement and visit their site. Each advertisement will have a logo linked to the contributor’s website thus promoting more traffic for their site. YouPaytheWay.com provides businesses with a way to help further the education of students that might not otherwise be able to obtain a scholarship, while their own advertisements are appealing to students, parents, and other businesses alike. All advertisements are guaranteed a minimum of five years on YouPaytheWay.com.
Selling one million pixels, the site will generate a pool of over two million dollars. The money will go towards scholarships, charity, and the site maintenance.
