October 20, 2007 - Fred Griffith visited a small town in the North Carolina mountains as kid.
The town was Maggie Valley, the home of the legendary theme park “Ghost Town in the Sky”. Fred remembers being mesmerized watching the cowboy gun fights in the streets of Ghost Town in the Sky.
Last year when he got a call from DJ Perry and Dean Teaster asking him to play Whiskey Walters and become a producer in their movie, he gladly accepted. Fred did not realize how surreal this would be. The first day of shooting brought back all of his childhood memories. Ghost Town The Movie was shot on the grounds of Ghost Town in the Sky.
Fred was quoted as saying, “To be a kid dreaming of one day becoming an actor and having that come true is crazy enough but to come back to the same place where those dreams started to work on a movie there, is very very strange but in a great way.”
He is continuing his career as actor, writer and producer residing in Los Angeles with his wife Jennifer and their two children.
