March 24, 2006 - Wyoming Governor David Freudenthal told StockInterview.com, “We’re ready. They just need to start bringing the projects.” He added, “This state is IN PLAY!” Freudenthal was asked if the unusually high staking activity, especially by two publicly traded Canadian companies, Strathmore Minerals ( TSX: STM; Other OTC: STHJF ) and Energy Metals ( TSX: EMC ), was merely speculative, he responded, “I think we’re past the sort of speculation of people running through and picking everything up. We’re down to serious players trying to make serious decisions.”
Freudenthal also praised Wyoming’s open policy to uranium mining, saying,” We’ve always sort of been comfortable with the uranium industry. The uranium industry is part of our history. It’s not something that is frightening or alarming to us.”
