July 28, 2008 - Using the latest in video streaming technology, VuYou have created a world class platform allowing anyone to create and send video emails to friends, family and colleagues across the world. Users can additionally create video blogs and podcasts and add video content to their own websites. The consumer service is free of charge and funded through advertising.
VuYou Ltd is based in the UK and provides video email services. The recent launch of Vu-Mail, a free of charge video email service, has enabled the business to deploy its proven high tech video streaming platform to a world-wide audience.
VuYou continue to work with ITV signpost and will be featuring on their wesite and on ITV’s soon to be release TV for the deaf program as the VuYou application is a great tool to enable the deaf to communicate with one another via signed video emails. This tool “is a must for the deaf says” Gordon Chapman from “Deaf Communication” who has been using it with the deaf community within the first week of launch.
The VuYou platform also gives users a “video blog” page as well; allowing users to upload videos to their very own blog so that users can give out their url and have viewers see their blog page. Vide podcasting can also be done from the blog pages.
One of the main security functions that Terry Flores and Robert Drew the two directors of VuYou boast of, is that when users send a video email, the technology will take a snap shot of the one recording at 5 separate stages during the recording process and send it as a film strip to the recipient ( viewed in their inbox)so that people cannot hide who they are, therefore putting a stop to users abusing the Internet and the way we communicate.
A business service, without advertising, is planned for launch later this year, with added features such as, Video conferencing, and a unique “pay per view” platform whereby companies and individuals that feel they have video content of some value can put it onto the VuYou market place, and set their own price per download, or per view, commenting on this Terry Flores says, “ we are very excited about the both the FREE service and the B2B platform as we have something for everyone, and seeing the way the Internet is going when it come to video content, have a very exciting business model, with some latest video applications on the horizon”.
