Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) October 05, 2009 - The Woodshed Gallery in Franklin, Massachusetts is offering its premier exhibition space to Boston’s Metro-West artists, art groups and nonprofit organizations. The gallery space is available for periods of up to three weeks, starting in November of 2009. Several free exhibition packages are being offered, as well as the opportunity to purchase gallery services.

The Woodshed Gallery specializes in conservation picture framing and the exhibition of original fine art. The gallery was founded by artist Angelina Wood in 1968, and continues to be a family-run business. For the past forty-one years, exhibitions have centered on the paintings of Angelina and her son Bruce Wood, with additional presentations by local art organizations, students, and professional illustrators and painters.

Accepting new exhibition proposals marks the first time that the gallery has opened its walls for proposals from Boston’s Metro-West area artists. Bruce Wood, the gallery’s director explains, “There are many talented artists whom we do not know because they have had limited exhibition opportunities. Many of them have never had the opportunity to present a large body of their work, simply because they have been restricted to showing in group exhibitions. This is an opportunity for them to take control of their careers by having an entire professional gallery devoted to their work.”

The Woodshed Gallery will not curate the exhibitions unless requested to do so. That option gives artists total control of what they show, as well as how it is presented.

Exhibitions are offered for free if an artist or group meets one of the liberal guidelines which are listed on the Woodshed Gallery’s web site. These guidelines are designed to reward artists who take control of their exhibitions by publicizing and hosting an exhibition opening.

Paid options include: rental of the exhibition space; custom color wall painting; publicity services including press releases, postcard design, printing and mailing; professional photography; professional video production and website design and hosting.

The Woodshed Gallery is located at 1243 Pond Street in Franklin, MA, between Route 140 and Route 109 near the Medway Line. The phone number is 1-508-533-6277.

Interested artists and organizations are encouraged to visit the Woodshed Gallery’s web site for details on the exhibition packages and instructions on how to submit a free proposal. Go to http://www.WoodshedGallery.com
