June 28, 2007 - Several members of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) were speakers at the Women’s Entrepreneurship Training Workshop hosted by Dar Al-Hekma College, a women’s college in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on May 27 and 28. WPO members who participated in workshop included Erica Whitlinger, co-founder of The ReFirement Group; Sherri Orlowitz, founder of Shan Industries; Carrine Reilly, partner at Henry, Held & Reilly and LLP; and Debra Murray, president and managing member of Blue Spring International.
The workshop helped guide businesswomen and other aspiring women interested in starting their own businesses. The Office of the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State for Women’s Empowerment (headed by Ambassador Shirin Tahir-Kheli) facilitated the organization and production of the workshop. All participants received certificates of attendance from WPO.
