UMobility is independent of the mobile operator and works with most SIP-enabled IP-PBX switches and business grade mobile phones. uMobility is compatible with IP- BX systems from Cisco, Nortel, Avaya and Vertical. It is also works with several open-source IP-PBX solutions including Asterisk and Pingtel. Managed solutions from Cisco are also supported including the LinksysOne solution.

The uMobility solution consists of a uMobility Cell Phone Client loaded on a PDA or Smart Phone and a uMobility Controller. The uMobility Controller communicates with the SIP-enabled IP-PBX and does not need proprietary hardware. To simplify the installation process uMobility uses over the air technology to remotely load the Client on the mobile device making deployment easy and quick.
