Wine, Women, Wow 2008 To Raise Money For Kent Downtown Partnership And YWCA's Domestic Violence Program

Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP) and Kent MultiCare are proud to present Wine, Women, Wow–Aloha Style, a women-focused, nonprofit event to benefit KDP and the YWCA’s Domestic Violence Program.


Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (1888PressRelease) May 14, 2008 - Kent, Washington, May 13, 2008 – Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP) and Kent MultiCare are proud to present Wine, Women, Wow, an exciting, women-focused nonprofit event to benefit KDP and the YWCA’s Domestic Violence Program. Scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008, the annual event will be held at the Green River Community College at Kent Station.

Following a brief introduction by Mayor Suzette Cooke and representatives of the YWCA, Wine, Women, Wow will feature live music by Raining Jane, a selection of wines, and a delicious array of appetizers and desserts donated by local restaurants. Now in its third year, this annual event offers attendees the opportunity to taste, try on, sample, shop and pamper themselves at this exclusive event while enjoying some well-deserved “girl time.”

“This is our third year for the event, and each year the buzz is a little louder,” co-chair Sommer Ueda said. “We are excited to be able to bring the community together again to benefit two great nonprofits.”

Advance tickets are available now for $20/each and can be purchased at these Kent businesses: Renaissance Yarns, Salon Ivoni, Bella home & garden, Earthworks Gem Design Studio, Perk-up Place, Kent Station and Kent Downtown Partnership. Tickets sold at the door are available for $25 each. Must be 18 or older to attend.

This year’s event is generously sponsored by Kent MultiCare, Green River Community College, Valley Medical Center, Renaissance Yarns, Costco Wholesale, Bella home & garden, All Pro Building Maintenance, Earthworks Gem Design Studio, Kent Station, Virtually Yourz, DeSantis Design, SignPrints, Pat’s Bar & Grill, Mama Passarelli’s, Farrington Court, Golden Steer, Panera Bread, Perk-Up Place and Zephyr Grill and Bar.
