August 15, 2006 - Since the very first Windows-powered Smartphone "Coolsmartphone.com" has been serving the needs and wants of an ever-growing Smartphone and - more recently - Pocket PC community. With all the latest news, plus fun, chat, forums, articles, reviews and how-to's the site has grown from a single page to a full online city filled with a quarter of a million registered members.
Webmaster and founder of the site, Leigh Geary, stated this evening that..
"Well, at around 11.40pm this evening it finally happened. Coolsmartphone.com registered a quarter of a million users.
The quarter of a millionth user is called "sync" and joins an army of Coolsmartphone members. We've been running since November 2002, however you guys have only really been able to register since around the middle of 2003 so it's one heck of an achievment. Sure, there's a few duplicates - I'll be honest and say that it's impossible to remove all these fully - but I still think we've hit a landmark and one to be proud of. Funny videos, ringtones, backdrops, chat, questions, news submissions - whatever your reasons for joining... thank-you. Thank-you all."
The site seeks to help and advise users of Windows Mobile devices like the Orange SPV range, the T-Mobile SDA / MDA range, the Vodafone VPA range and devices like the upcoming Cingular 3125.
