September 24, 2008 - We had no choice but to wallow in the water for three and a half long agonizing months. Now Win a Resort is back bigger and brighter than before.
When we designed Win a Resort, with its once in a lifetime Blue Moon Opportunity, we knew we were on our own. No one had done anything like this before. No one was raffling an entire resort on the Internet, let alone a luxury boutique resort, Seachange Lodge, on a tropical island in Vanuatu, in the South Pacific. A resort which could be an ongoing business, or used as a private holiday home, plus 6 luxury holiday apartments for friends and family. Sure we had no competition, but we had buyer opposition. If the prize is too good to be true then it probably is. Surely Win a Resort was just another Internet scam that would fade into the distance of Cyber Space.
Enthusiastically we built version number one. It was in the format of a simple blog, but it worked okay. Within three months of launching it climbed to a Google page ranking of 3. This was achieved without buying our way there. We were so thrilled with what we had accomplished, we felt it was time to start to remodel a new stand-alone site in Dreamweaver. This was quite a challenge all on its own, as we chose to build the site without using a template.
We found out later that when you rebuild a site, your page ranking falls away with a resounding dump. One day it is there and the next it is gone.
The next devastating news was the Merchant Bank, which processes credit cards online, was caught in the financial fallout in the USA. For three and a half long agonizing months we were forced to sit and wait. There were no kindly carrots put out to encourage us, only start up dates which never materialized. We weren't even sure the bank would come back online.
The tragedy was enhanced by the fact that we were selling Blue Moon Opportunity raffle tickets on the Internet. This classed us as being High Risk. There are very few merchant banks which will process credit cards online, for what they wrongly class as a lottery. Friends tried to help by telling us to go to Pay Pal or Click Bank etc, etc. Did you know that Pay Pal has a list of almost fifty different types of businesses they won't process, including airline tickets, accommodation and rental cars?
By this time a lot of people were saying we were down and out for the count. Yes our hair maybe a lot greyer (according to our hairdresser) and our nails bitten to the quick, but we have a brand spanking new website up and running. You simply have to go and check out the photos. We have our page rank of 3 back and still climbing and our name is being plastered all over the Internet. We also have a top position for most of our keywords.
Best of all, the fallout from America appears to be over. The merchant bank is back online and they also have a brand new website as well. They go by the name of Intabill, which is owned by a 24 year old entrepreneur. He made it onto the 'Rich List' in Queensland, Australia. He's been operating on the Internet since he was 13 years old.
So, we will catch up with you in the once in a life time Blue Moon Opportunity at winaresort.com. This is something you can't afford to miss out on. This could be the first day of the rest of your life and it will help some really great kids who deserve an opportunity. Take a few minutes to check it out at Win a Resort.
