Wiltshire Schools Adopt Nessy

New software to help dyslexic children in 215 Wiltshire Schools

(1888PressRelease) September 28, 2007 - Wiltshire schools are starting the new academic year with the Nessy Learning Programme, one of the latest resources for helping dyslexic children and those with learning difficulties.

This investment will see more than two hundred schools throughout the county adopt this motivational software, developed through years of practical teaching expertise by specialists at the Bristol Dyslexia Centre, one of the largest Dyslexia Centres in the country.

Principal and founder, Pat Jones, will be visiting the region to conduct on-site training on the 8th, 12th, 15th and 19th of October, 2007. Pat has over 40 years of practical teaching experience in the field of special educational needs. She will pass on essential skills and strategies that will ensure that Wiltshire teachers are better able to identify and support dyslexic children.

The Nessy Learning Programme was recently hailed as “the best literacy resource I have come across in over 20 years of teaching” by an independent evaluation (TEEM, Sept’ 07).

Parents and teachers can find out more about this software by visiting www.nessy.co.uk. Children can even play the Nessy learning games at home with ‘Nessy GamesPlayer’ (www.nessygamesplayer.co.uk), a version for home
and parent use.
