Wiligear Unveils A New 500 MW Wireless Cpu Platform, WBD-500

Experience 500 mW output power for 69 US dollars only with the new integrated radio board WBD-500. It is already available for your evaluation on the WILIGEAR e-store.

(1888PressRelease) June 13, 2008 - Wiligear announces the addition of a powerful, 500 mW (27dBm) integrated radio platform to round out its multi-function PCB product line. The embedded 2.4 GHz radio design provides a robust and versatile WiFi solution and also provides cost saving benifits by eliminating the need for additional mini-PCI radio hardware. At an affordable single-unit price point of 69 USD, the WBD-500 provides an out-of-the-box, justifiable hardware solution for integration into a variety of applications including 802.11b/g customer premise equipment, access points, as well as point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless bridges.

The WBD-500 ships pre-loaded with the easy-to-use, carrier-class, Wili-S Linux-based core operating system and can be pre-configured with either the CPE or AP versions of the graphical user interface (SKIN). As with other PCBs on the Wiligear product line, the WBD-500 is firmware factory compatible – a free, online utility provided by Wiligear for developing customized firmware and graphical user interfaces, thus providing a tailor-made solution to match any wireless application.

The WBD-500 is available immediately in limited quantities. For more technical information and to be the first to try this exciting new product, please visit our website.
