March 28, 2008 - This week Wilibox and Microcom Technologies announce the agreement for distribution of the WILIGEAR product line. Products are already available on the Microcom e-store for immediate purchase. The WILIGEAR product line features a range of wireless networking components suitable for use in different deployment scenarios ranging from CPEs (customer premise equipment) to APs (access points), high-capacity Point-to-Point, as well as mesh gateways and nodes. The WILIGEAR product line includes a variety of CPU boards powered either by the robust WILI-S or WILI-MESH firmware, which has all the carrier grade features found in high-end and costly products from other manufacturers.
Among the CPU boards offered is the WBD-111 - our custom-designed, single mini-PCI board featuring a powerful 300 MHz, ARM920 CPU. This product, along with other PCBs on the WILIGEAR product line, is “firmware factory” compatible, whereby customers can develop custom firmware and user interfaces online within minutes. To round out the component product line, WILIGEAR also offers a range of powerful mini-PCI radios that are recommended for use with WILIGEAR CPU boards as well as other accessories needed for building custom weatherproof WISP equipment.
