March 20, 2008 - Uxbridge, United Kingdom - Where's Best, a new internet start-up, today officially announced its launch. The site - found at www.wheresbest.co.uk - is a UK based local search site featuring pubs, restaurants, hotels and many other places of interest.
The site allows users to search a database of over 190,000 UK businesses and meeting places and to rate and review any of the businesses featured on the site. Launching in beta, the site owners aim to add a number of new features over the coming months.
"The emphasis up to this point has just been to get the basic functionality of the site up and running," explains Ian Evans, creator of the new start-up, "There a number of features that we have planned and intend to add in the near future. We appreciate that local search is becoming an increasingly crowded market but we believe some of the ideas we have will add something new and help us stand out from the crowd. I can't say too much about our plans at the moment but one of our first aims will be to expand the site to include venues outside of the UK."
