May 29, 2009 - As part of this project, which reinforces Westernfield Holdings commitment to reduce the environmental impact of deforestation, some 193,000 trees will be planted , near the town of Samarinda. Eighty different species will be planted, over an area covering 31,000 acres.
Westernfield Holdings has already signed 10 long-term contracts with the Indonesian government, representing over 2.5 million metric tons of carbon reductions, and has built a robust pipeline of new projects which should double the portfolio by the end of next year.
