May 06, 2008 - The 2008 BMW X6 is considered the world’s first Sports Activity Coupe (SAV). The 2008 BMW X6 is available in two engine variants –the xDrive50i and the xDrive35i. Both these are fitted with Twin Turbo and direct injection.
The 2008 BMW X6 is powered by a 3.0-liter DOHC, 6-cylinder, 24-valve turbocharged 300 horsepower engine. It comes with twin-turbo technology that powers on a six-speed Sport Automatic transmission that has Adaptive Transmission Control (ATC); Sport and steptronic manual shift modes, and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
Among its other features are Dynamic Stability Control (DSC); Hill Descent Control; Dynamic Performance Control; double wishbone front suspension; engine speed-sensitive power steering; xenon headlights; a combination of audio systems and several safety features including four-wheel anti-lock ventilated disc brakes; front safety belts with automatic pretensioners; battery safety terminal and automatic fuel cut-off among several others.
Available with five doors and four sculpted seats, this model is available in several color combinations. These are Vermillion Red, Tasman Green, Deep Sea Blue Titanium Silver, Space Gray, Monaco Blue, Black Sapphire and Mineral Silver among the metallic colors. Non-metallic colors available are Jet Black and Alpine White.
