October 15, 2008 - Media PA, We Kids Rock’s second CD “Let The Sun Shine” was named an Honors Award winner in the 2008 National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA) Children’s Products competition. This distinguished award recognizes “Let The Sun Shine” as a standout among music available for children today.
Now in its 18th year, NAPPA is a well-known name in the world of children’s learning and entertainment. Released in 2008, “Let The Sun Shine” features catchy originals as well as traditional favorites in the style of early Rock’n’Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Punk, Ska and Country. Guest musicians include Johnny Neel (Allman Brothers, Johnny Neel Band), Hank Carter (George Thorogood Band), Simon Illa (R&B Producer), Nik Everett (acclaimed singer songwriter), Wally Smith (Quincy, Crosstown Traffic) and Marc Moss (production credits include David Bromberg, and Cliff Hillis). NAPPA Judge John Woods says, "Driving arrangements and solid vocals set this 17-song CD apart from the crowd with a bountiful brew of revived traditional and clever original tunes."
