February 13, 2008 - Boston, MA – Chelsee Adams and Susie Anderson are pleased to announce the launch of their new website, WearenotMartha.com, just in time for Valentine’s Day. In their special Valentine’s Day edition, We are not Martha, offers readers ideas for a romantic dinner for two that anyone can make. Also included are advice on romantic music to listen to while sharing dinner and ideas for singles spending Valentine’s Day with friends.
The two 20-something Bostonians with a passion for all things culinary, design, and lifestyle related decided to launch We are not Martha because, while they love Martha Stewart, they realize that their generation just can’t relate to her. So, they take what Martha does and make it a little more accessible and a lot more fun. “We got sick of hearing everyone our age talk about how much they hate Martha Stewart because of how perfect she is,” Anderson says. “So, we started our site to show that, while you might not ever be Martha Stewart, you really can do everything she does. And have fun doing it.”
The girls’ passion for cooking allows them to take seemingly complicated recipes and show others how simple they can be. They prove to you that gourmet doesn’t need to be difficult. And while the website’s budget-friendly ideas are targeted to 20-somethings, people of any age can get a lot of helpful advice from the site. “We’re finding that while we had women in their 20s in mind when creating our site, women and men of all ages have been checking it daily,” Adams claims. “In fact, some of our biggest fans our in their 50s and 60s!”
Watch the 20-something Martha Stewart wanna-bes as they enjoy the city life while cooking, dining out, hosting parties for friends, shopping for the things that make life better, and always keeping their eyes open for the most current trends in food, decor, and happenings.
