The Herald-Sun Readers Recognize WCPE as one of the Best Radio Stations


(1888PressRelease) July 20, 2007 - WAKE FOREST, N.C. —TheClassicalStation.org announces today that WCPE is the second place winner in the Best Radio Station Category of the Annual “Herald-Sun Reader’s Choice Awards.” The 2007 winners were published in the Sunday, June 8, Herald-Sun supplement.

“I am greatly honored that Durham area residents recognize WCPE’s efforts in providing Great Classical Music and excellent radio programming,” says WCPE General Manager Deborah S. Proctor.

Readers of the Herald-Sun were provided the opportunity to share their opinions about who is the area’s best in more than 100 categories.

WCPE is a non-commercial, 100 percent listener-supported, independent station dedicated to excellence in Great Classical Music broadcasting. WCPE can be heard at 89.7 FM across central North Carolina and Southside Virginia. In addition, WCPE can be heard worldwide, 24/7, via the Web in multiple streaming formats, including the next generation IPv6.
