It is the mission of the Washington Wilkes Historical Foundation to preserve, develop and restore sites, buildings, and other structures of historical or architectural interest in and around Washington and Wilkes County, Georgia; while also participating in programs and projects for the benefit of historical education.

The Foundation remains very active throughout the year on a variety of projects that help promote, portray and develop the culturally rich fabric of our southern heritage.

Washington, Georgia Annual Christmas Tour of Homes & Colonial Dinner Set for December 12 and 13, 2008

Washington, Georgia, July 28, 2008 The Washington-Wilkes Historical Foundation (WWHF) has announced the dates for the annual Christmas Tour of Homes and Colonial Dinner for 2008. The Tour takes place on Friday evening and Saturday, December 12 and 13, with at least ten Antebellum, Victorian and Craftsman house open for tours in this once-a-year event.
